Who needs Zenyfit?

Any company, corporation or business that desires more balanced and efficient employees in the Triangle area.

Why does your company need yoga?

  1. The performance of any organization depends on the performance of its key assets—employees. Healthy employees are more productive and more cost-effective.
  2. Recent research indicates that companies who offer yoga and wellness programs to their employees reduce their annual health insurance premiums, and thereby improve their bottom line. According to a recent study on work site health programs, corporations realized $3 – $6 in savings for every $1 invested in wellness programs. The same study showed more than a 25% average reduction in health-care costs for well-designed programs (American Journal of Health Promotion).
  3. Job stress costs U.S. companies about $300 billion annually through absenteeism, diminished productivity, employee turnover and direct medical, legal and insurance fees. (The American Institute for Stress).  Stress is the cause of nearly 90% of doctor visits in the U.S.  (The American Institute for Stress)
  4. Companies spend $14,000 per employee per year on medically related productivity losses. (CorSolutions, Inc.)
  5. Offering yoga classes at work is an innovative solution for companies wanting to cut health care expenses, relieve workplace stress and promote employee well-being.

Kristen Rice-Gira

Kristen Rice-Gira

Chief Executive Yogi + Founder

Kristen knows what it’s like to be a multi-tasking worker bee experiencing information overload. Her time spent at various corporate jobs were exactly what brought her back to yoga. She found that yoga was the best way to calm an anxious, overloaded mind. When she noticed the benefits went beyond the mind and extended to a healthier overall self, it inspired her to become a yoga instructor years ago. Her goal is to bring on-site yoga and chair massage to local workplaces within the Triangle to promote a happier, healthier and more clear-minded community in RTP and beyond.

Mary

Mary

Yoga Instructor

Mary began practicing yoga in early 2003 as a way to have something for herself when her daughter was young and life was chaotic. The practice was so rewarding that she began teaching in 2005. Mary's classes offer a balance between physical challenge and emotional freedom. Her teaching is very precise and she draws upon extensive training in yoga anatomy and a background in social work. The yoga journey brings Mary so much every day and she feels blessed to share this ancient tradition.

Meghan

Meghan

Yoga Instructor + Massage Therapist

Meghan began a steady and dedicated yoga practice in 2008, drawn to the mat in a search for stronger self-awareness. Yoga has become integral to Meghan’s life for self-acceptance and improvement, and to connect with people in genuine and compassionate ways. From teaching in her local community to volunteering in orphanages in India, her intention is always to promote loving kindness and self-love in her students and in the people around her.

Nora

Nora

Yoga Instructor

Nora started practicing yoga to improve flexibility and a desire for long, lean yoga muscles. The more she practiced, the more she noticed a change not just in her body but her mind. Although she loves the increased flexibility and strength gained from yoga practice, she continually comes back to her mat, day after day, to calm her mind and feel centered in her body. Nora strives to empower students to find their edge and move past their perceived boundaries into new possibilities.
